Will was a good helper while we packed
Our good friends came to help load as well as many other friends- What a great place with great people we will miss!
Ready to hit the road!
We left warm and sunny California and headed East. We passed through Nevada, Arizona and Utah. I didn't get any of the state signs :( It was dark and I didn't want to stop to take a picture because we had already had a long day. We hit MAJOR traffic going to Las Vegas.... grrr. What was going to be a long day became a LOOOOOONG day. Oh well, we made it safely and it's over, so I can smile about it now! A few days in Utah and then my parents joined Will and I and helped us drive the rest of the way. We left Utah and drove across Wyoming and Colorado to our first stop in Denver.
The car lot in front of my parents house. Missing some cars too!
My Sister and her family joined the caravan which was great because Will rode with them and had a great time eating snacks and watching movies. Not sure what we would have done without that entertainment!
We stayed at a nice hotel in Denver. It was New Years Eve, but we were exhausted and went to bed early!
Leaving Colorado and entering Kansas!
Lots of Kansas windmills
We made it to Fort Riley! Yay! It was nice to be at my Sister's house and kindof relax. We had originally planned to stay for two nights so we could rejuvenate in order to continue our drive, but because of weather reports we cut it early and headed out the next day. It ended up being good but sure wish we could have stayed longer.
