The no-fun-adventure of getting to Utah.... the perks of flying standby.
After arriving in Denver we planned on going to Idaho Falls. After many delays and finally a cancellation we luckily got on a flight to SLC. We had been at the Denver airport for way too many hours and we were past exhaustion. Somehow I got these two awesome kids who are troopers. We made it to my parents house and in bed around 5 am.
Here are the kids sleeping, finally. It was freezing and we only had Addison's small blanket and my nursing cover. It was after midnight that's all I remember!
Made it to the splash pad with cousins
Will thought he had died and gone to heaven being able to help Grandpa get and unload hay. Feed the animals and gather eggs.
Got a little workout in
Trying to contain this girl.... she is mobile!
Having a Popsicle with Grandpa
Went and watched Lincoln's baseball game
Addison and I went down and stayed the night with Lacey and her cute boy Porter. It was so much fun to catch up, meet each other's babies and see these two interact!
Dale was able to fly in for the weekend and we went exploring with my Parents.
Promontory Point
A little further down the road is something called the Spiral Jetty. An artist created this spiral out of black rocks. It's pretty neat to walk around.
We then ventured further down to the Great Salt Lake. Walking on the salt flats is cool. We all gave it a little taste too... YUCK!
The water was really pink!
Took our shoes off and waded around. The salt is a good exfoliate for those feet!
