Spring break day 2

The next day we explored Hot Springs, Arkansas!!
It ended up being a really fun day even though we didn't have much planned initially.

We drove through Hot Springs and up the mountain to a really nice view point.

We then parked and walked the street with all the famous, historic, Bath houses. A few of them still operate but you have to be older than 13, so maybe another time!
We did go into the visitor center and learned a bit more about how they used to be used. They have a few areas around town where the locals can fill up their water bottles and there seemed to always be a line of people waiting to fill their jugs. The water is SOOO hot! If I remember correctly it was 139 degrees.

We then decided we still had a lot of time to kill before we could check into our hotel up in Little Rock so we headed down the street to the Oaklawn Horse Racing that was taking place that day!! It was free to watch and it was a lot of fun! There were some very passionate betting people there and it was fun to people watch. It was also really easy to get into the horse races and start cheering for our favorites. We stayed for 3 races and I think it would be fun to do again sometime.

We still had time to kill so we stopped in for some more arcade type games in Hot Springs.
Dale and the kids raced go karts while Jameson and I watched. And then the kids did really fun bumper cars and a 3D virtual dinosaur ride that was hilarious to watch them!!!

We finally made it to Little Rock where I surprised the kids with dinner at the train restaurant. Its a fun place that Will and I had been to in Kansas City a few years back. It was good food and always fun to have a little train deliver your food to you!

The next 2 days were spent in the hotel. Dale and the kids tried to stay entertained(since everything was shutting down) while I attended my dental convention and we tried to figure out what was happening with Corona Virus that had overtaken the world! There was a little park outside and even though it was chilly, we spent a bit of time playing.
