Our Spring break began with us driving to Birmingham and then Montgomery, Alabama.
Birmingham has a city square with different statues and memorials throughout. It was very interesting to read and learn more. We came across a man who stopped and talked to us from his perspective as he was a youth during the 1960's.

In Montgomery we went into The Legacy Museum. No pictures allowed inside but it was very informative, a few tears were shed from the kids. Very sad that anything like this was happening so close to home. It allowed us to have some good conversations with our kids and was a good day. The outside memorial was amazing.
