Every year a huge bike race comes through the state where all the pros come and try their best to conquer not only all the climbs, but the altitude as well. There aren't the biggest names here, but there are some pretty good names if you follow cycling. Anyways, this year, the race just happened to go right by our house. I followed them on the live stream on the internet and then headed outside when they got close (it's 91 outside, so the less time outside, the better). I took some videos. Quite the hubub surrounding the group, as you will see.
Here are the 3 up front in the lead. Pretty cool to see the helicopter too.
About 30 seconds behind them came this large group known as a "peloton" in racing.
Then after the group, about 50 cars came by. These are all the support cars. In case of a flat tire, water, food, anything the riders need, these guys are there and can hop up to help them.
It almost ended before it began, but that is okay. It was cool to see these guys up close!

That was cool. I loved all the cars with the bikes on top and then the ambulances. What a production. Dane had me record it all on TV so he can watch it on the big screen. Wish you could be here too. Thanks for sharing.
