During August we were able to go and visit Dale's brother and his family in Alaska. They moved there a couple months ago for a job. Plus, we were able to score a few free buddy passes from Dale's friend who works for Alaska airlines. So we flew from Fresno to Seattle and then on to Anchorage!
The first couple of days we were there it was rainy, wet and cloudy. We decided to visit the Alaska Zoo. It was fun to see some different animals than you would see in a zoo in the lower 48. Such as: Magpies, Reindeer, Bald Eagles, Seals etc..... they were missing the big animals you normally see like Elephants, giraffes and lions. It was fun! We enjoyed walking around and trying to prevent Will from jumping in the puddles.

| Cousins watching the BIG Grizzly bear. |
| Check out how wet his pants are.... those puddles were enticing. |
| Dale's parents were there visiting as well, so we got a lot of cousin time AND Gpa and Gma time!!!! |
| A fun bear sculpture outside of a museum that William couldn't handle. We had to head outside to get his wiggles out. He was pretty nervous to turn his back to this bear : ) |
| Cute cousins "cheesing" to the camera. They haven't seen each other for 10 months, so it was fun to see them play and interact with one another. |
| While there Bridget made cupcakes so we could celebrate Will's 2nd birthday (which was 1 week later). She made yummy cupcakes with airplanes made out of blue fondant! I tried to upload the video of Will (Lynlee) blowing out the candles, but it was too big : ) You should have seen the look of surprise of Will's face when the candles are blown out from the side! |

The Alaska zoo sounds like fun! How cool that Will's other grandma and grandpa got to be there at the same time as you!
Your trip looks fun! I'm glad you got to go see Alaska and be with family again!
