Day 1-2 Texas

The month-long cross country road trip begins!!! We are all excited to see SO many national parks and road-side attractions, family, friends and make memories!

We are hoping for lots of naps! So far, so good!

First major stop was in Paris, Texas to see the Eiffel tower with a cowboy hat! Totally worth going out of the way for this! So fun to see! It was right next to a Veteran Memorial which was fun to explore.

Surprised Will with a stop at Dude Perfect headquarters. Definitely hoping to see someone, but no luck. :(

Another surprise was taking the kids to sweet frogs! The kids love Sweet Frogs from when we lived in Winchester and it was fun to go again.

Happy Father's Day to the best!

It was SO hot but we stopped to see a replica of Stonehenge.  Fun to get out of the car and run around and play hide and seek!

Stopped to get a pictures with Paisano Pete the road-runner. Kids are hoping to spot a few live road-runners while down here in Southern Texas!

Although it was a long drive, it was beautiful down to Terlingua, Texas

We were so excited to surprise the kids with our lodgings for the night! They were shocked and thrilled to stay in a teepee! We were semi-panicking before arriving because it was SO hot (108 degrees) and we were worried it would be a miserable night. We were geared to sleep in the car with the A.C. on, but were pleasantly amazed at how well the little AC unit inside the teepee worked! It was so much fun and we would love to come back for another visit someday!

Their were 3 teepee's on sight with a shared bathroom that was AMAZING! Addison was so excited and felt like she was just like Pocahontas!!

Las Estrellas Tipi
Perfect "Glamping" night!

I would love to do a month long road trip like this someday! Andrew and I have plans for a year long one after we retire. Haha! We've been to Paris, TX and saw the Eiffel Tower there. It's so cute with it's cowboy hat on top! We also LOVE Buc-ee's! I love all the other surprises you had for the kids though. So fun!
