Panama day 2

We woke up early the next morning and was picked up at our hotel by our tour guide along with 4 other people on the tour. We drove for 2+ hours to the other side of Panama along some ROUGH back roads through the rainforests. It was quite the adventurous jeep experience!

Waiting in line to show our passports. We then boarded a boat for another 30+ min ROUGH boat ride. We made our way out to the San Blas islands where the Indigenous people of Panama still live. There are 365 islands, most of which are teeny, yet there were huts/houses on most of the islands. The water was gorgeous and the weather perfect!

We visited 3 different islands for swimming, relaxing, eating and then visited a 4th island that is currently underwater from the last tsunami, so we anchored and went snorkeling in 4-5 feet deep water. Pretty spectacular day!
