Panama day 3

We had another early morning and woke up before the sun. We took a Panama Canal boat tour and enjoyed the sunrise on the canal!! It was very quiet and peaceful since we were the only ones on the canal at the beginning and it was fantastic to see many animals and hear so many more. The howler monkeys are SO loud! After the boat tour we headed back and were able to be right next to some huge ships! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our tour then took us on a rainforest walk. It was SO beautiful. I absolutely loved walking through the rainforest listening to all the insects and animals. Amazing to actually experience it!  

 

  

At the end of the tour they fed us some traditional Panamanian food that was delicious! 

Our next stop was to head to the Panama Canal locks. It was hot and long but really neat to watch the process of the locks filling up and allowing the ships to pass through. 

 

That evening we walked the streets of Panama City and found this hole in the wall restaurant. A little difficult ordering... but the food ended up being amazing, even though we didn't know what we were getting!! Seeing beautiful churches on our walk back to our hotel and seeing all the parties happening as people watched the Super Bowl!! 

We also were able to drive by and see the LDS church building and Temple in Panama!!
