CR- rainy day

The last 2 nights we stayed at this amazing place called Bio Thermales, the grounds were amazing with lots of birds, peacocks, and the morning we left we even heard howler monkeys!

This is the tree house we stayed in!!! The craftmanship was incredible and we had the best time! The 2nd night we awoke at 2 am to a 5.2 earthquake- which was slightly unsettling.

The grounds had a lot of natural hot springs since its located on the side of a volcano, but we didn't risk getting in because of the caution signs warning us of possibly catching amoeba meningitis.... eek!

Our last full day was a little disappointing due to the weather. It poured rain all day long and we were unable to do any of our hikes and planned activities. Instead we ate a delicious breakfast with some yummy hot cocoa, and had a relaxing day in our treehouse, reading, napping and watching movies. Kind of fun to chill and relax!

Heading back to the airport to head home :(  We are so sad to leave because we had the best time and cannot wait to come back to visit again!

Gigantic frog on the airport wall!

Waking up to an earthquake would definitely be unsettling! Glad everything was okay though. Where did you find these places to stay? The amoeba meningitis is crazy! Sometimes down time on a trip is a good thing even though it was forced due to weather. ;)
