TCU Game

This is my dad and me outside of our hotel looking toward the stadium. We decided to head over a few hours early and take in the stadium.

A few weeks ago my dad planned a father/sons trip down to Dallas to watch the BYU/TCU game. It was being played in the new Cowboys Stadium which turned out to be awesome. Not included in the pictures was our midnight visit to Dealey Plaza, the site of the JFK assassination, after the game Friday night.

So first off we had to hit up some authentic Texas BBQ and Dane knew the spot to try. Rudy's is a Texas staple and it did not disappoint. We had some good roasted turkey and beef brisket. YUM!!

Outside the stadium. That whole front facade is glass.

Just inside the front doors looking at the huge big screen and the field.

Retractable roof, which they ended up opening. It was a nice night.

That screen is 160 by 72 feet. And all in HD. Amazing to look at.

View of the action from our seats.

We were able to meet up with some of my old friends Steve and April during halftime. They live down in the DFW area now while he finishes school.

Another shot of the screen.

In the background is the stadium where the Texas Rangers play. That same night they lost Game 7 of the World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis. The trip was short, but very fun!! The Cougars lost 38-28, which was a major bummer, but the stadium was awesome and it was fun to get away with my dad and brother.

Sounds like fun. But what isn't fun when your dad plans it? Glad it all worked out.

Looks like you had great seats! I know Andrew was wishing he was there too...even though they lost. :(
