Back at the end of July and beginning of August, William and I flew to Kansas to visit my Sister and her family. The first few days we spent there we were able to have Sam around, then he left for 6 weeks of training in AZ and we spent another week without him. We flew into Kansas City and spent the night with the Cooks, who used to be in our ward in CA. It was GREAT to see them, the next morning we were picked up by Sam, Heidi and family :)
Sam and Heidi took us to an awesome spot for swimming that isn't too far from their home. Not sure if it had a name but it was SO fun. We packed a lunch and spent a few hours enjoying the outdoors and getting some sun and swimming in. You can drive your car right down into the river and park, there are areas that are deep enough to swim, shallow wading areas and then areas you can see in these first few pictures. It was perfect!
Cousins reuniting after 1 1/2 years. They had so much fun together.
You could go down and get behind the waterfall, it was pretty neat.
Jade and Mayci were so good with William, trying to teach him how to play board games. He didn't quite get it and they were soooo patient with him. It was pretty entertaining to watch.
Cute Girls :)
The next day we headed down to the closest zoo, it was a a hot, humid day.
Lucky for the kids, a firetruck was there and was spraying water from the hose and off the top of the ladder, the girls played in it but Will was being stubborn and wouldn't do it.
After being so hot and getting tired from being outside at the zoo, we headed indoors where they had a fun craft section. The kids colored and made shark hats.
Back at Fort Riley. We're standing by the sign, although you can't really see us. We're kindof hidden.

Looks like SO much FUN!
Love Mayci's pose in the picture where the kids are drinking their Squeeze-its! Too funny!
