Philadelphia

This last weekend we headed to Philadelphia. We parked and started walking. It wasn't horrible being so pregnant, but I was certainly exhausted by the end of the day. We walked over to Carpenter's Hall, which is where the first Congress met.

We then went to the Liberty Bell Center which was a nice little museum.

Kind of blocking the actual bell.... but it's there!

Independence Hall where it used to hang in the tower.

Will loved the horse drawn carriages that were everywhere

Benjamin Franklin's grave

Betsy Ross house where "legend has it she lived when she created the first flag" (legend has it?!?!)

This is called Elfreth's Alley, which is the oldest inhabited street in the country. It is super adorable and would seem fun to live on... probably not, since its super crowded with walking traffic all the time. But I loved walking down it!

This is the first Capital building back in 1790, if I remember correctly.

Drove past the Philadelphia temple. Can't wait for the open house, that will be really fun! It's pretty close to downtown, we were surprised to come upon it without even trying!

And of course we had to stop by the Philly Museum of Art..... to run the stairs!
Who loves Rocky? We came home and are now watching all the Rocky movies! Super fun!

Everyone else ran the stairs. I walked them to get this great view of Philly.
Also, the entire day we were singing the Rocky theme song and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!!!

For dinner we had to have a Philly Cheesesteak. This is the original where the cheesesteak was invented. It was good, and very busy!

Great day in Philly. On the drive home we stopped in Hershey to show Jonas chocolate world. Rode the tour ride and got a few treats! YUM!!! Will was in heaven, both in the factory and simply just riding the tram from parking to the factory!!! Ha ha, we love how excited he gets about everything!
