Olympic Triathlon- Williamsburg

We headed down to Williamsburg Friday to cheer and support Dale. The weather was beautiful. We checked Dale in at the event and tested out the water. The kids wished for their swimsuits. The water was nice and they were pretty wet after...

Dinner with the family and then swimming!

Jeff, Abbie and Ella came as well to support!

The next morning we got up early to be there when the race started. Dale happened to run into his mission trainer! It was so bizarre since neither knew the other lived in VA and haven't kept in touch. Such a small world and fun surprise!

Watching as the race begins. This was Dale's first Olympic Triathlon and he had been training so hard! He surpassed all his goals and totally rocked it!

He finished the swim (1 mile) in 24 min.

Now on to the bike!

A little bit of a waiting game during his bike. The kids were so good and kept pretty entertained exploring and playing with each other. Ella was so sweet with Addison.

Biked 25 miles in 1 hr 13 min.

Now waiting again during his run portion. Some friends from our ward were there as their Dad was also participating. So the kids had a great time playing. Addison was SOOO tired from having missed naps, staying up late and getting up early.

When it was all over we went out to lunch with everyone and then headed home.

It was so much fun to cheer Dale on. I love these events. The atmosphere is so exciting and it was great to have so much support from family for Dale.
