Saturday we got up and headed to Kings Canyon National Park. We live in such an awesome area. We have 3 different Nat. Parks within 1 hr of our house. Pretty cool
We visited Grants Grove and were able to walk through a fallen Sequoia. That was cool!
So the General Grant tree was pronounced by President Calvin Coolidge as the Nation's Christmas Tree back in 1926. They hold a Christmas ceremony every year at the base of this tree. Fun fact.
These trees have merged at the base. Pretty cool
Hume Lake
This was my favorite spot of the day. It put me in the best mood. Quiet, beautiful, peaceful and we just relaxed and felt the warm sun. We ended up stripping Will almost down to nothing, next time we'll be smart and bring a suit. He had the best time throwing sand into the lake. Then a family with lots of little ones around his same age showed up and Will just became one of them. Great times and can't wait to come back. We've already planned a camping trip for next month to this lake : )
Eating our packed lunch and relaxing-
Grizzly Falls- I liked this because I met a man who tried to teach me a few things about my new camera... So then I practiced a bit on my water photos.
We had a busy couple of days, but had so much. It was the best having Lacey come visit and sad to see her go. Will loved playing with her.
