Hong Kong

A city park where lots of locals come in the morning to excercise and practice their Kung Fu moves. It was entertaining to watch. The entrances into the park were so fun with little cartoon characters lining the sides.

They also had an aviary in the park that has such beautiful birds.

We boarded a bus that gave us a tour of the city on our way up the mountain to see "The Peak".

Unfortunately it was pretty hazy the entire week we were in Hong Kong, so we weren't able to get the spectacular views that you normally can see from The Peak. It was still very beautiful. 

These are the famous "Ding-ding" city buses. They are on a track system and are so skinny! We crammed ourselves onto one and then had about 10 people cram on after us. NO personal space at all. We rode for a few blocks and then somehow got off! 

Tsim Sha Tsui 

A famous tourist area with high end shopping and avenue of the stars, where local celebrities have 'Hollywood' stars. It was closed for construction so we didn't see much

The famous mid-level escalator 

It's the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world! 

From top to bottom you ride it for probably 20 minutes, then you have to take the stairs back down. Luckily they have this though because hiking up and down Hong Kong is exhausting! No wonder they are all skinny and in shape! 

One night we rode a ferry back across the harbor, it was so beautiful seeing the Hong Kong skyline all lit up

When we got to the other side we watched a light show that a lot of buildings participate in. Laser beams and flashing lights, it was fun to see
